This is the part that takes a moment to believe. The room you choose is a painting, and the things in it work.
The lamp on the desk turns the room to evening. The window knows the weather where you actually are, right now. The clock on the wall keeps real time on its own painted face, in your timezone, at whatever angle the artist hung it.
Click the record player and it plays. Click the shelf and there are books on it — real ones, long out of copyright — and the room remembers which page you were on.
Nothing here is a menu. You just reach for the thing.
Every room has one, and it is the reason the room exists. You write down how the day went — a paragraph, a photograph, one line — and it stays in the room where you wrote it. Come back in a year and the weather of that evening is still around the words.
Each entry decides its own company: open to anyone, open to the people you have let in, or only yours.
No feed. No reach. No number going up. The people who read it are the people you chose, and that is the whole audience.
